Ridgeway
is an alternative rock band from Orange County, California, formed in 2013. They blend sounds from '90s shoegaze and 2000s indie rock, drawing inspiration from bands like Oasis, Yuck, and Pixies to develop a unique and modern sound. The band consists of Alex Ybarra, Wyatt Kollar, Kris Hooper, and Jacob Beaver. A key element of Ridgeway's vibe is their ability to blend heavy and melodic sounds, creating a lush balance between chaos and comfort. They use distorted guitars and powerful drums to complement dreamy leads and heartfelt vocals.
Ridgeway comes from the world of house shows and relentless DIY touring but has been part of the rock club circuit for the past few years. They have provided direct support on tour for bands such as Movements, Finch, and Alien Boy. The band has released three full-length records: Give in 2019, Marlo in 2021, and they are currently supporting their third album, Wall of Stars, produced and recorded by Corey Coffman of Gleemer and released in December 2023
